Project:

Action Glow Car Flying-Things (2015)

About
This is a MA Digital Effects DE Techniques assignment, a VFX shot depicting a automobile coming into into existence from nothingness.

It leads the spectator on a journey following the materialisation from the transformation of a bolt to the meticulous integration of an engine and eventually the full formation of a vehicle.

Personal Contribution
The entire project.
Tools
Geometries were created using Blender 3D, and rendered using Houdini Mantra Render.

The disintegration / integration effects were achieved in Houdini using a combination of techniques including voronoi fracture and particle simulation.

The compositing and force field effects were accomplished using Nuke. In addition, flares were added using the Video Copilot Optical Flares plugin for Adobe After Effects.
