Evolution (2013)

The goal of this project was to reimagine and render MetalGreymon — a character from the children show "Digimon" as a realistic creature and to give it believability and realism similar to that of the special effects creatures of contemporary mainstream cinema.

Geometries were created using Blender 3D and Autodesk Mudbox, and rendered using Cycles Renderer.

The shattering of the skyscraper's windows was achieved by first dividing the geometry of the building into smaller fragments using the "Cell Fracturing" plugin in Blender.The disintegration of the building was then simulated using Bullet physical simulation (rigid body).
